Applications

Remote atmospheric sensors – Radar wind, thermodynamic (radiometer), and Sodar – provide invaluable real-time upper air information.  Total Profiler Solutions from Radiometrics augment weather balloon soundings for data to feed into “data-hungry” weather models, dramatically improve local nowcasting, air quality and fog predictions, and enhance utility load forecasting and wind farm management.

Radiometrics’ Single-Channel PR-Series radiometers are also useful for non-weather related applications, such as sensing characteristics of snow pack, vegetation, soil moisture, and chemical plumes.
